    Happy Birthday!!!
    First order of business, happy birthday to a valuable member of my incredible beta team, the darling [info]maja_li!!!!! Happy birthday, sweetie!!! *huge smooches*

    Also, yes I swore I was going to make some recommendations. I ended up spending all last night bullshitting about (no offense to those I was bullshitting WITH - wouldn't have changed it for the world) and had to get up early (for me) because one of Waverly's babysitters wanted to take her to Chucky Cheese as a Christmas present. And I went along because we're paranoid about abduction. So I spent three hours in a booth reading a LaVyrle Spencer novel and watching for signs of roving gangs of slave traders.

    And NOW the husband and are are going out! YAY! So I won't be around until later. But I had to pop by to say I'm HERE! And I have RECS! Read Wailing Like the Dragons! *nods*

    Well... I have some splainin' to do...
    Now that reveals for [info]hp_yule_balls are up, I can tell ya'll that I wrote Wailing Like the Dragons.

    Don't ask me why or how, because I still don't really know. I owe [info]bryoneybrynn and [info]tongzhi78 MY LIFE for getting me through this experience.

    I still just do not know what got into me...

    General Warning
    Thanks to everyone who left feedback in my poll earlier. I should probably clarify that I'm referring pretty much exclusively to the 30 Days of X-Mas thing. It's not like "Oh, I'm so inundated with comments - POOR ME," or something. In general, I have no problem keeping up. It's just that for the month of December, I didn't have time to stay on top of them because I was busy writing the next day's fic. So this isn't like a typical state of affairs or something.

    I'm going to go through all of the fics today (and tomorrow if it takes that long), so I apologize in advance to anyone who's going to get 30 emails in the next 24-48 hours.

    So I sort of had a revelation the other day...
    I've only really been an actual active participant in HP fandom for about a year. I was active when Deathly Hallows came out, but then, shortly after, I was laid up for a long time. So 2008 was really my year. I went from no one to being someone that a few people know. That's pretty cool. :D More importantly, I've made a lot of really great friends, and grown tremendously as an writer. I have a lot more to say, but today is my mommy's birthday and we're heading over for cake! And you know how I feel about cake. So without further ado, (to the best of my journal/comm hunting detective work), this is everything that I wrote in 2008. (Oh, and there's no links for Runway because that beast needs beta-ing, editing, and putting-on-my-comm-ing.) So I'll update that later.

    Oh, and the grand total? In 2008, I wrote approximately 265,000 words.

    30 Days of X-Mas Wrap Up Post!!!
    So in case you had trouble keeping track of everything, I've made a 30 Day of X-Mas Master List. I mean, I don't know why you'd have trouble. It's not like I wrote 40 different fics for a grand total of about 43,700 words IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER ALONE.

    You know, I really think some people were thinking I couldn't do it. That I'd miss a day, that I'd have excuses. Well, to those people, I say, SUCK ON THIS. I posted every requested 30 Days fic on the day that it was requested. Plus I wrote five extra fics for people who missed the original post and wanted one. On top of that, I wrote several stories in a whole new fandom, without EVER breaking my HP stride.

    I'm feeling pretty damn good about this whole month.

    Oh, and a masterlist of everything I wrote in 2008 is coming, but I figured I'd give you a chance to digest this month first. :p

    So make sure you check the list if you requested a fic, because I know some people haven't commented on the fic that I wrote for them yet. So check it out! Make sure you're not missing a gift!

    The Cam Show IMPORTANT UPDATE
    Hey everyone! The Cam Show will NOT be on tonight. I'm taking a holiday break since I still have a ton of stuff to do.

    ALSO (this is important) when I resume next week, we're going to be an HOUR EARLIER. As in 10 Eastern/7 Pacific. My husband has a new job and has to get up at 7 AM, so staying up until midnight is no longer working for him. So the show will be from 10-11 PM Eastern Time. Got that?

    I'm gonna update the website at some point soon.

    Beta Team?
    I'm gonna need someone to beta about 2,500 words of H/D, mostly talky-talky, light on the bonin'. But there is a bit of that, so no nuns need apply. I need it like ASAP turnaround time. Anyone with nothing to do??

    Oh, and I also need a beta lined up for some het porn. Yeah, het porn. Vajayjay ALLLLLLL over the place. All squelchy and shit. Again - no wussies. That won't be until later today/early tomorrow, but I figure I ought to ask early in case I try tomorrow and get met with giant fear-eyes.

    Christmas Stuff
    I'm still hiatusing, but I'm the worst fucking hiatuser EVER, it seems.

    However, I HAD to post to say thank you for the cards from [info]accioscar, [info]allyourinsides, [info]kodak_moment, and [info]lavillanueva (with an awesome drabble inside!), and the beautiful e-cards from [info]faithwood (yes it worked!), and [info]ravenqueen55!

    Also, [info]luvscharlie wrote me an awesome ficlet with teacher!Draco and sexy Charlie called Lessons, and [info]faithwood wrote me a marvellous story called Obviously Gay that's Draco/Ron, and it's just... I can't even describe the amount of win. Go read them both! :p
